Asheville, NC – The City of Asheville’s CNG station’s new compressor package and storage spheres are in place and the station is now open to the public and is available 24/7.This upgrade effectively doubles the CNG compression and storage capacity to support the city's 27 new CNG vehicles on order. Additionally, other fleet users are AT&T, Mission Health Services and Mountain Mobility.
Funding for the upgrade was provided through the Carolina Blue Skies and Green Jobs Initiative supported by a grant from the US Department of Energy's Clean Cities Program.
